👋 Hey, I'm Nicky — founder of ShipBuddy. Like a lot of indie builders, I've juggled big dreams and limited time — living in the fog of distraction.

Too many ideas.
Too much distraction.

After fifteen years building software — as a founder, a tech lead, and a coach — I knew there had to be a better way to make real progress. Not another tool. Not another todo list.

A system that actually moved the needle, one step at a time.

So I built ShipBuddy.

Why I Built It

After a year or so of no personal hacking — raising a daughter, leading teams, and juggling life — I finally found space to build again. AI had just exploded. The timing was right.

But I didn't just want to build something. I wanted to finish things. To ship.

To test ideas with clarity, not chaos.

So I went meta. I built the thing I needed most:

A focused, AI-powered framework for actually making progress — even with limited time.

It's what I wish we had years ago, when we were trying to grow our first SaaS as naive founders. Back then, we had great feedback, but never quite cracked the business model. If we'd had ShipBuddy — with the focus, structure, and smart support — things might have gone very differently.

Who I Am (And Why I Built This for You)

I've been in this game a long time — from coding BASIC games on a BBC Micro in the 80s, to raising Angel funding for a SaaS startup, to leading engineering at a B2B fintech that supports the world's largest financial institutions.

I've helped companies go from 0-1. I've helped scale mission-critical software. But what drives me most is helping builders do the best work of their lives — not by doing more, but by working with focus and intention.
